Update: Female eating more and more everyday!
Switched back to 4 inch pot. Seem to like it better than the 6 inch.

looking good randy... keep up the good work buddy:bigsmile:
Thanks! I had to remove the nem from them a few days ago. I think they didnt like the heat, but doing much better in the reef. Ever since then the pair have been eating much more (female especially) to where their bellies look inflated! Im hoping i get a surprise soon! :)

Any tips or tricks or techniques that might push them into spawning mode?

you could buy a gallon of my voodoo water from my broodstock system....lol j/k just power feed and keep parameters in check, and some patients they will breed eventually...

beautiful pair, what specific gravity are you keeping? Seems like a lot of breeders are doing around 1.020. That's what I've been keeping in my broodstock tanks. I do have one system though that I keep a few corals in along with some RBTA's and my favorite black ice pair...I've been running that system at 82 degrees and SG of 1.023 and the corals and nems look great.

Great looking pair love the combination and that snowcasso is saweettt tagging along

The salinity is currently 1.025. It is at this level because there were nems in with them. Since i removed the nem, i plan on keeping it low (1.020).
I have a good heater on here so the tank never leaves the 80 degree line.

You said earlier you were looking for tips on getting fish to spawn.. I would raise your temp to 83 and definitely drop SG to 1.020 and bulk feed 4-7 times a day but be consistent with feedings and no changes in anything.

Thank you! I really like how the male has one completely black pelvic fin and one with some orange. It really makes the fish stand out.
Thanks again! Yea, he used to have more black, until he went into the bubble. You can see in the videos, on his head right behind his first stripe, he has a big orange spot. I took out nems, hopefully he will regain it.

*Tank Update*

-Brought the SG from 1.025 to 1.020 as some breeders here have recommended
-Slowly am in the the process of bringing the temp from 80* F to 83*-84* F
-Switching from t5 to LED to lower the nuisance algae growth. Most likely from Ecoxotic
-Hooked up ROWA to bring down some of the phosphates which are playing another part of the algae bloom
