grafting corals to skeletons

Got a question for you guys , I had the Idea of Grafting some blue ridge to a skeleton i picked up from another hobbyist some years ago , what do you guys here think of the idea?

I got the idea from watching what happend when i put a couple of pieces from the tiny colony i have next to each other and got them to fuse into one figured I could get it to grow quickly over the same type of skeleton even if it was dead material.

well going to be starting the experiment soon i have the donor specimen who has been showing me really good growth over the last few weeks and also the skeleton which a portion of it is going to be grafted to , I'll post an update once the graft is finished.

Lol that's kinda the idea I'm doing it this way to see if I get a little bit faster growth since it's kinda like a scaffold for the new tissue. Think of a bone graft

Well breaking bits off the donor failed I did not expect it to have grown as thick as it had. So I glued it to the side of the skeleton yo see if I can get it to grow up the side of it

Kinda scared of across since this pretty much an old skool low tech tank though you think birds nest will do okay ? Would like to try monti cap but I dont think it will live : P
