Please tell me how I can get rid of it. I’ve tried taking it out by hand they keep coming

Also lost one of my clownfish this morning so I hope that this stuff is the cause of her death

I belive it’s calurpa rasemosa.

Not the cause of the fish death I’d wager. It s commonly sold as a macro for planted tanks and Refugiums.

Grape Caulerpa I think. Never had it myself so hopefully someone else will confirm and let you know the best way to get rid of it. I don't think it'll be easy though unfortunately.

Yes, grape caulerpa (c. Racemosa). You will probably never eliminate it unless you replace all of your rock. It’s shooters go deep into your rock and they can grow back from the smallest things. Eventually they’ll release spores and will grow in every single crack.

Well that stinks I’ll just keep a majority of it picked up out of the tank after every water change. Thank y’all. This site is great very fast feedback. And very knowledgeable experienced people

I had a grape caulerpa infestation in one of my tanks a couple years back. Was impossible to stay in front of. It eventually covered every square inch of the the tank. I eventually had to let it grow so much that it was just a floating mat on the surface of the water. It blocked all the light below it and the algae on the rock eventually released. It took months. Not sure what might eat it but I am sure something will. My tank at that time wasn’t big enough for most algae eating fish but I could imagine tang and foxfaces could take care of it.
