Picked up a Red Sea Nano, used recently. Needless to say, I was exhausted from work as I head straight to the ladies house to pick it up. Checked it out but obviously not as in depth. Nothing was mentioned of this and I realized it was there when I got home. She said it held water and all fine, but was moving which is why she sold it along with a lot of other stuff she had.

Would this be any concern to you?

While not ideal, it looks like your crack originated from the top and the crack is moving towards the from of the glass...this makes it less worrisome relatively speaking.

I would be more worried if the edge of the glass moved downwards along the length of the tank or toward the water side.

It certainly will be weaker around the crack so try not to smack anything against it (accidentally, if course ;) ) to make it worse... if it's feasible, you might want to try to reinforced the crack using a windshield repair kit or UV adhesive that can be towed into the crack.

Not really the crack is towards the top of the tank & And all the pressure of the water will be towards the bottom. I had similar kind of cracks where the pipe work for my sump is. No problems.

Hard to tell if it's a crack or a chip. It will probably be fine, but if it is a crack keep a close eye on it because cracks can 'travel'.

@ca1ore that's what I can't tell.. Its inside the glass so I unfortunately cannot feel how deep it is. The OO of the tank was completely unaware that it had this.

Debating on filling it with water today and seeing how it runs. I'd hate for this tank to be a ticking time bomb.
