Gravel or sand

Which is better gravel or sand for fish only system?!

I personaly only use sand. If you use gravel un eatend food and waste will.settle in an area your clean up clew wont be able to get to and cause nitrate problems

I use sand. I think it looks more natural and +1 about stuff getting stuck in the gravel.

Sand. Coral gravel or cracked coral don't look good, scratch glass and acrylic very easily, and once again doesn't goof haha. Just not natural

I use Crushed Coral. Natural PH buffer. Just make sure you get the X-Fine stuff, the bigger CC collects crap and can cause water issues.

Yeah, forgot to mention the crap build up lol. I guess I just didnt like the look of it honestly and if you are getting an acrylic tank then it will very easily scratch with cc
