Does anyone use this? I'm looking for a black substrate and stumbled upon gray coast by seachem. Can I put an inch of this sand into my 75 gallon rimless with 135 gallon sump and 95 gallon fuge with deep Sand bed?

1 inch is good enough? I just wanted a black substrate look. I was going to buy the petco bloc sand but that's no good after researching it. Any problem with going 1 inch shallow?

How many inches would you use? 2 inches at least?

Well, I've given up on deep sand beds and prefer other methods because I think them more useful.

But I'd probably want at least 2-3", maybe more, if I wanted denitrification since those grains look fairly large.

If you have a 135gal sump and a 95gal fuge, you're fine going an inch for looks.

Thanks for your help guys and Randy ;) how about for inverts? The petco black sand was said to be too sharp for inverts

Hi I see this is an old post but I was wondering if you got the seachem gray coast and if so how you like it? I'm building my first tank and I'm considering using it. Any pics? Thanks :)
