I posted in the tank emergency forum https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/gray-fuzzy-looking-stuff-talk-me-off-the-ledge.377435/, but I have been through every guide I can find and cannot get an ID on this stuff. It only grows in shady places in my rock work and can easy be blown off my rocks. What the heck is this stuff

Is it soft or hard? Following. I have this or something similar in the shady areas of my rock work. I use a toothbrush to remove it from my rocks but it's often deep in the rock work. Doesn't seem to be bothering anything or taking over so I haven't been worried.
