Can't really tell from photo as to me that seems green (algae?) This guide link below may help. Think you are somewhere between stages 4-6... known as ugly phase... we all go thru it and come out other side.

Purple might be coralline, which is great thing, but seems early to be that far along... can't tell anything from photo sorry...

I’ll attach another photo. Does the first photo help? Also in the second photo, does this look like the beginning of corraline?

Likely- cyano and either diatoms or light bacteria. Assure you have adequate water flow. See if this substance blows loose easily with a turkey baster. If so. increase water flow a little.

It is quite soft and can be blown /torn. I’ll try to adjust flow to target that area better.
