Looks pretty good to me!

0ppm, really?

So just for the sake of saying I tested it... I placed a chunk of dryrock in a cleaned bucket and filled it with RO/DI water, 24hrs later I tested the water for phosphate... is this a valid reading?

I've done this with other types of dryrock (pukani from BRS) and the results showed 2.64+...
The reason the rock was shipped late was it was wet and need to dry out from all the rain it soaked up as it was outside for a prolong time and never covered , is it possible the rains leach out all the phosphate?

Trying to add a post from tapatalk is a pain, and the spell check is horrible...lol...

Almost all of this style of rock comes from the same place. ReefRocks, ReefCleaners, BRS Reef Saver, etc. I've used it on a couple of tanks without any issue, and I've never had a leeching problem with phosphates.

Comparing this with Pukani is really apples to oranges as Pukani tends to get shipped in rather dirty, thus why it's notorious for its Po4 leeching.

While I don't think that dropping it into a bucket for 24 hours will give you a true result (I'd think that heat, plus the beginnings of the curing process will be more accurate), I'd say that the thousands of us who have used this type of rock without issue and without pre-curing is a pretty good indicator of your chances at success.

I feel the main reason for this thread was achieved... so will start a new one covering the testing of the dryrock... thanks everyone!

Hello, I know I'm beyond late to answer this question. Yes Billy's Reef Connection is legit. I do work for Billy. His website did have a big upgrade and it's still in progress!

I just ordered 100lbs of dry rock. I'll post picks of what I get. So far the price and transaction has been good. I put in my order notes my aquarium size and dimensions so we will see what I get.

I got my 100lbs of rock in this week. Boxes were beat up but then again it is rock in a box. All the rock looks great. lots of holes and structure in it. Good size pieces. Just need to clean it and figure out a rockscape now. I'm not a rock or aquarium expert so pics are posted for everyone's opinion. I think its all great.

Thanks Billy for the rock. Great rock for a great price.
