Great easy to use Calcium test kit?

In the market for this! :)

Ya'll stink!! :p

I like my Hannah, but thats because I'm partially colorblind (purple / blue and green / yellow all kind of looks the same to me)...It's kind of a pain in the butt to fill with RO water, add 1ml of reagent, then add .1ml of tank water, then dump the powder.

Hanna Instruments. By far the easiest test kit I've used. No more guessing about shades of color on a strip. Just push the button and read the number.

I have heard that the Hanna testers are inconsistent. Any thoughts on that because I would like to go with something easier to read as well.

I use the Hanna Alk and P04 test kits and they have good accuracy, never used the Cal from Hanna as I heard it has very inconsistant results.

I use either Red Sea or Salifert for CA and Mag and think the Salifert is a easier. If you want the easiest just go find a Thrive water testing lab somewhere! :P

I like my salifert, I had the RSCP combo kit and didn't like it as much.

Salifert seems to have much better color transition.

I didn't like the Red Sea kit...but I have heard great reviews on it which leads me to believe I'm a bit slow...

I just bought a Salifert kit, but I haven't used it yet...hoping it's better.

I have also heard really BAD reviews for Hanna's Ca kit. I do like the PO4 and Alk kits.

I've only used the API and Hanna. Both read exactly the same. The API is easier to use and I can find one easily if I'm out.

I've used the Hanna, Elos, Salifert and with the Hanna I find that the battery life is way too short for my tastes - have to change out the battery too often (Costco alkaline) and if I dump "all" the purple reagent it'll skew the reading way off, but other than that with the others it's the color thing

My experience with Hannah checkers is that they can give inaccurate results. I advise confirming their results against another good test kit. I've switched to Salifert for cal and alk and find them very easy and quick, and also offer very distinct color changes. I also use Salifert potassium test kit.
