I ordered some difficult to keep fish, a red coris wrasse, a spiney box puffer, and a stars and stripes puffer (hardier than the other two generally).

I decided to give Fishy Business a fair shake. The experience was not perfect, but very good overall. The coris was large as I ordered but came with some damage to his side. It didn’t last but a few days. They were very diligent and genuinely concerned for the health of the fish. They were very responsive to my concerns and questions. It was handled very well, they went above and beyond. I always find that how a company handles things that don’t go perfectly is more telling than when things go perfectly.

The two puffers are doing well. The spiney box is even eating (which this species is notoriously difficult in this regard). They were shipped carefully, packed well, and other than something that I suspect happened during shipping for the red coris, were as expected or better. Most other vendors I have used lately have been sending tiny fish, these were as represented or better.

All in all I am quite happy with the customer service, quality, professionalism, and I’d happily order again. I give my experience with Fishy Business Aquatics a solid A.

Yet another fantastic experience with FishyBusiness Aquatics.

The Australian Harlequin Tusk and Green Bird Wrasse I received today are show quality fish. They're in phenomenal condition, appeared VERY healthy, and were absolutely top notch specimens for their species. I couldn't expect better fish than I received. Other than the Red Coris in my previous order that didn't make it (and they are notoriously difficult shippers), all of the fish I have received from Fishy Business Aquatics were head and shoulders better than I have received in 90% of my orders from other vendors.

I highly recommend Fishy Business.

Very nice. My #1 has always been LA DD and #2 is the LiveAquaria stock store. Honestly their DD is still the best but the stock store has gone down hill a lot. Obviously it's more their wholesalers fault but still. I think I'll be trying Fishy business next!

I've had good experiences with them as well, communication is great and the sizing is pretty much perfect .fish all came in good shape and eating next day . If a fish is looking a little sketchy they are good about contacting you and seeing if you want something else, or to wait until they have healthy livestock. I've gone through a couple a places where I'm waiting on a tracking number , never get it then I have to contact them to see what's up . Communication top notch with fishy business

Whats your take on the red corris....lfs has one in stock but i was worried when he got bigger hed get destructive with my inverts...

IMO red coris need a FOWLR. They will eat small inverts and they’re also known for re-arranging the tank. They’ve caused rocks to fall, moved corals, and all kinds of shenanigans. They’re also very bad shippers and difficult to keep. If you make it past the first two weeks you’re usually out of the woods as they’re quite hardy once established.

Thank you. Jusy about what i figured/read. Glad i just observed and didnt pull the trigger...beautiful fish though both juvi and adult colorarion...

I avoid them as a few bad experiences have been pulled off R2R and the owner is particularly nasty in emails to customers when problems happen. I was hopeful for them but they have left a bad taste for me after seeing several ppl I know deal with them.

Hello,

I have a couple issues with your comment. The first is we do not remove negative feedback if the feedback is left properly. If you have negative feedback you must create your own thread in the vendor feedback forum. If you do that your feedback will never be removed. Secondly your wording lends me to think you have not had personal experience with this vendor. We also ask that people only leave feedback for companies they have actually done business with.

Thank you.

That's fair Revhtree. Yes, I have not personally ordered from them though I have wanted to several times until people I do know personally told me about their experiences and scared me away (with email correspondence, responses from the owner, and their google my business replies). You can remove the prior comment and this comment if you like.

I did business with them and they were the worst. You are exactly right. I also have friends who had bad experience. But I still gave them a try. That was a mistake. When there’s an issue the company does not take responsibility. It’s always the buyer fault. There will be good and bad experience in every business. So here my experience . Rating D but Owner gets F

I give @FishyBusinessAq a A+, I have ordered 12 fish, received 11 healthy fish and when I told them about the 12th they were concerned and were willing to do anything necessary to correct the situation if needed. I am 1 for 15 from my LFS. They are the only place I will buy from and I will recommend them. I have ordered 5 tangs, 4 chromis, and 3 wrasses from them. First class service and fish.

Reminder: start your own feedback threads if you’ve purchased from a vendor.

Regarding @FishyBusinessAq — I can only speak to my two experiences with them that have both been immensely positive.
