Hi all, I've been trying. to find an easier way to clean my wife's sump, as it sits on the floor suction is out andi refuse to pay 80. on a python. Well I went on amazon and fou and a pump driven gravel cleaner and paid 18.95 for it. It comes with a gravel cleaner and an extension so I cut the extension at an angle for getting into hard to get places and tried it out. It VAC's the bottom , catches debris in a filter and puts the water back in. The only name of company I could find is, coodia/yadico. It has a great pump and does several things. Check it out if interested, I mean what in this hobby is 18.95 and works?

Can you link to the pump driven gravel cleaner? I've seen a few regular pumps that have holes on the bottom instead of the side to do the same thing.

My sump gets super dirty even with the filter sock, but I'm okay with it since it's out of sight out of mind. And ever since the last deep clean I've been pretty vigilant about changing the filter sock before it clogs so water from the DT (and presumably detritus) doesn't get into the sump prior to filtering....

get a baby power head, use the inlet and shove it down a short length of suitable diameter hose..

i use the exact opposite of this in my IBC for refill on WC days, 12mm garden hose shoved in at the outlet of a powerhead, easily achieves head and a nice steady fill rate.

Yes there is an attachment that takes a half in vinal hose so you can run dirty water into bucket. Or change peice and go back to filtered cleaning. I'm not a sales person but so far its been very useful
