Greatest downfalls and successes

As the anniversary of my 2nd year in the hobby approaches I'm reflecting on the things I consider to be my own personal successes and failures. In taking measure of what I've learned and hope to learn I am tempted to compare myself with other hobbyists & reefers. But then I must avoid that temptation because we all have our own personal goals that frequently change from one thing to another. When I started I once told a mentor that I probably wouldn't be interested in corals and that I'd be more into fish. His answer foreshadowed today when he said that this part of the hobby would quickly compare to crack. But back on subject, I am wondering what type of things that others here choose to view as their own biggest triumphs and biggest downfalls in there journey of reefing? I'm not asking this to compare myself but instead out of curiosity and also to hopefully create some chatter here rather than on fb. Please share and thanks for reading my entirely long post.

Congrats on the two year mark Richard! There is a good amount of people who never make it that long! That is a success in of itself.

I consider watching my tank inhabitants grow and thrive under my care and anytime I watch a coral or fish perish I am heartbroken. I also take pride in helping other reefers and being a part of this club and helping it grow.

Thanks for the compliment and for sharing Brandon. I'm looking forward to the next two years. You and Riz helped get me started in the beginning and for that I'm grateful. I enjoy the same thrill of watching things flourish under my care.
