Green algae on glass and rocks

It is is really fine green stuff. The brown formed in little dots and it was hard to get off. This green stuff comes off fairly easy. I don't see any more brown.

Pic below of a spot I cannot get to. Looks like that. However, there are some brown dots mixed in from when it was growing.

Maybe just check your no3 and ammoina in the morning.

New tanks are kinda weird when they get born. Called the ugly stage.

Basically, the bio filter (bacteria) is supposed to eat up the ammoina and nitrates as wee to an extent , but in a baby tank , the bio filter is kinda weak , so other organisms will eat the food instead.

If you have a sump , it might be good to get some chato and start the Refugium.

Welcome to tank maintance 101. One more chore to do. Algae does not care if its rock or glass. And people want coraline. More real scrapping fun.
My pods and snails would feast on that green stuff for sure. I would worry if I did not have any stuff growing on the glass. Over time it will decrease but never think you wont have to clean the glass. Well you could hire someone........

Already have a dozen trochus. Maybe I need to hire more. LOL
