As many of you know....I've been battling dinos (Prorocentrum) for a while now. I've been dosing silicate, and diatoms are starting to be more numerous. I've also dosed pods and pyhtoplankton. I'm now also getting green film algae?? on the glass. I took a sample yesterday, and there are tons of small green things....a few of them move very quickly - and randomly. Someone told me that it may be chrysophytes. But when I google it, I'm not sure its what it is. However, I'm also reading that if it is chrysophytes, then I've created another problem in my tank.

Tank stats
32 gallon biocube
Nitrate: 5ppm (salifert)
Phospate: .02 ppm (Hanna ULR)
Alk 7.8 Hanna
Cal 420. Hanna
Mag 1305 Salifert
Salinity 1.025
PH 8.3
Silica >2ppm Hanna
Temp 78

Thoughts?

Probably just film algae, which should be a good thing with dino fighting. If you've raised your no3/po4, this is expected. I wouldn't worry about this....

The chrysophytes I've seen aren't green... they were more clear-like looking with a possible light brown/golden tone to them.

Also, looks like you are getting some diatom growth as well.
