So....My tank has been up and running 3.5 months now. It was seeded from an established tank with sand, water, and some live rock (live rock has since been replaced with dry/dead rock)....and everything is going smooth. Parameters are good - Ammonia 0, Nitrite, 0, Nitrate <5, calcium 500, all 8.0, ph 8.2. etc.... The tank is stocked with two clowns, one fire shrimp, 6 or so hermits, and a small variety of snails.....and a few beginner corals and two bubble tip anemones (originally one - it split about a month ago) I'm at the end (hopefully) of a cyano break out....which I've tried to attack without chemicals - increased feeding/flow (originally low nitrates caused it - I think)

Anyway, the last week or so, I've noticed this bright green coating on a couple of empty snail shells....and a little on my rock. I don't have green algae growing anywhere else - ie none on the glass/rocks/sand. It is almost fluorescent.

What is it? Good/bad?

Hard to tell, there are some coralline algaes that color.
So far so good.
Nobody's complaining?

Everything seems to be doing well. Nothing is unhappy :-). Just don't want anything to go down hill because I'm not keeping up with what may or not be wrong.
