Hey folks, my ro/di was not functioning and I put “tap” water in my tank unknowingly. I got that issue taken care of and have been doing 20% water changes every 3 days for about three weeks now. Phos is at 1. Ppm. I’m trying to get that down to 0. So my question: is it ok for me to scrub my rock when I do these water changes? I’ll put the rock in the water I pull from my tank and using a nylon brush hit the rock to effectively remove the green algae? Tell me what you think.

totally okay to scrub the rock outside of the tank as long as you are not exposing it to the air for a long period of time.
