Green algae?

Trying to figure out what this green algae is growing on the rocks. Been like this for a month and continues to become greener.

yes it's been up now for about 3 months.

how long does it take to turn purple/red?

It is flouresent green than coralline, about a month or so until you see purple spots. If not flouresent green than a film algae, harmless and beneficial.

Ok then I won't worry about it. In some areas it's starting to turn purple

Nuisance algae such as this is caused by excess nutrients. This is not coralline. Reduce your feeding and test your nitrates and phosphates.

after testing my nitrates came back as 10ppm and the phosphates .02ppm
