Green algae

My tank cycled a week ago and right know there is lost of green algae. The water is still clear but on the glass, rock and sand there is lots of green is this normal and/or how do I get rid of some of it.

How long do you have your lights on? How many fish? How often are you feeding? How much? Any pictures would help too.

Your going to get a lot of algae keeping a reef tank. If you just started the tank, looks like your on the right track. Algae is part of the process.
