Green band goby dying

He lost his strength and won’t move or eat. I had him for about a week. I have a 10 gallon tank and do 30 percent water change every week. I don’t know what is did is wrong… he looks happy and fine two days ago.

It doesn't look thin, so it must have been eating o.k., what have you been feeding it?

Was this a tank raised fish?

I feed him cyclops, the only other fish in the tank is a yellow damsels

Was the damsel in the tank first? Did you witness any bullying going on?

I suspect the damsel kept the fish isolated in a corner and it wasnt allowed to eat or move.

And The tank is about 7 months old.

I have this vague suspicion that this is some sort of odd neurological issue - the goby isn’t breathing fast, no ripped fins, not skinny, color is good, but just acting flaky. There are rare viruses and similar issues that we really don’t know anything about, and for which there are no cures - sorry.

I too sorry to see. That was the only food you fed? Looks very skinny and now moribund, which is a condition similar to comatose and fish will likely not make it sad to say

Thank you very much! I will did some water change and provide a good environment for him and hopefully he can heal himself.

Yes, but I do have a good pod populations. And he is pretty new to my tank, only about a week.

Yes the damsel was in there first, but I did not see him care about the goby too much.

Yes, but I do have a good pod populations. And he is pretty new to my tank, only about a week.

Pods are accepted at time but not a part of their captive diet as they prefer soft and easy digestible foods such as brine or mysis shrimp, fish eggs and small pieces of gel foods such as masstik
