Green Birdsnest Flesh

I purchased a nice frag of birdsnest coral. Theres a small section where the flesh has come off, will this ever grow back? If it continues i was going cut away the small section, but if there is a chance it will grow back I'll leave it alone.

Have you examined the water chemistry and flow?

Water quality is consistent. It was in a very high flow area.
