I’m contemplating on taking him out Bc I feel like he is dying? What are your thoughts? I fed him Monday, Tuesday it looked like his innerds were coming out all on the right side it was very lrg. Then it all went back in. This is this morning he hasn’t fully opened in days. He’s always just been partially open and idk if it’s bc the place he likes is curved or what? I need some help and insight on what you more experienced reefers know.

Had my tank for about 9 months now he’s been in for 2 weeks and this has been on on going thing.

Peramiters are good
PH 8.0
Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates .5/10 ppm (not sure if this could be the reason)
Salt 1.023 (could this be too low)

I just don’t want my tank to be destroyed if he is dying

TIA

I don’t think it’s dying, just not happy.

A few questions.

What and how often do you feed it?

What kind of lighting do you have?

Do you have any cleaner shrimp?

Does the nem host a clown fish?

I introduced an anemone and thought he was on deaths door for weeks, the tank did not have enough nitrates and was not mature enough. The nem suffered. I dont think he's looking too terrible right now. The expelling you saw the day after feeding him might have been due to over feeding. What did you feed? It can take several weeks for the nem to neutralize in your tank, especially if it did come from a QT or store that was running a higher salinity.

I feed him once a week bribe shrimp and Monday he ate t so fast it was gone as soon as I fed him. (Should I feed him more often?)

I’m not sure. I will have to ask my husband when he gets home from work
What light do you suggest

Do you have any cleaner shrimp?
No shrimp at all
We have reef crabs, emerald crab, 2 snails

Does the nem host a clown fish?
Unfortunately we are waiting to get more fish probably next week some time. We do have a mandirine goby though.

All other coral and goby are thriving I just don’t want my nem to be miserable.

what kind of lighting do you have and what is your schedule. Please be as specific as possible

Not sure if the lighting my husband does that I’m just in charge of feeding and water! I will ask him as soon as he gets home. What lighting do you suggest? As far as food I feed him once a week every Monday morning dried brine shrimp

Lights come on at 8am blues only at 730 and lights off at 8pm (should it be different)

Dried brine shrimp and I feed him once a week.

yeah I need to know the manufacturer of the light and possibly a model number or model name.
