My LFS got a bunch of free corals they are selling for cheap, but it has a bunch of bubble algae. Is it safe to buy? And If I was how can I rid the stuff before contaminating my tank? ;(

You could remove the bubble algae before it goes in your tank so you don't run the risk of having a bubble pop inside your display or if you have emerald crabs in your clean up crew let them get to work. I had the same issue I purchased some corals not realizing it had some bubble algae on it. I put 3 emerald crabs in my 72 bow tank and within 8 hrs they took care of it no more bubble algae. Hope this helps

Awesome. So if I remove first it should be fine or if I buy a coral with no algae on it. I should be fine?

Yea if you take it off prior to putting it in your tank and give it a good rinse make sure that if you popped a bubble the spores are not on the coral you should be fine. If it flares up down the line you could get emerald crabs or get some tubing and suck them off the corals or rock without popping the bubbles inside your display
