This is my first time posting on here, my tank has been running for about 2 months now, I have a green bubble coral that seems to be doing well overall, but it has a part on the skeleton where there are brown threadlike strands coming off of it. Could this be damage from initially placing it in the tank? Also will it eventually heal/go away?

Welcome to R2R!

Can you get a white light photo of the brown threads. It could be a "brown jelly" infection but a photo will allow people on here to chime in. Lots of really knowledgeable users.

Thank you everyone! It is more hairlike I would say, I accidentally posted twice so I’ll have to go look at the other post as well, but I tested my water a week ago at a local fish store and they said everything looked great and nothing to worry about there. It does look like hair algae, but it has been on there for a few weeks now and made me a bit concerned.
