i just picked up a nice BTA yesterday and it’s acting weird. It moved from on top of a rock and into a cave in the shade. He open just a little bit so I’m goping that he is just adjusting to his new home. At this time my tank is a 30 gal FOWLR cube with a pair of clowns, a pistol shrimp/watchman goby pair, a coral banded shrimp, three peppermint shrimp, a mix of hermits and snails, and two brittle starfish. ( purchased one along with the live rock he was on and had and it had another starfish hiding so I got two for one. Ammonia is at zero, calcium is at 440. I just purchased the reef master test kit but it doesn’t test ph or alk. DHK was between 16- 17 which I know is high. I have had the tank for a little over a year and used only live sand and live rock along with a bottle of live bacteria. I plan on grabbing another test kit that will test the ph and alk. I read that I shouldn’t do anything drastic to the tank while the anemone is settling in. Would a small water change hurt? I know I need to go slow. My tank has been stable for quite a while. Only lost my short spined urchin when I had to move my tank after Harvey. I did transport fish and all the water and didn’t disturb the sand bed when I moved the tank. It’s been six months and everyone is good. Just wanted to know if nem was acting normal. I’ll edit this post with the type of lighting I have as soon as I look it up. Lol. My lighting system:
