This green bubble tip nem I got 4 days ago keeps going into a rock cave out of the light. I first put him in on top, within 7 hours he was under the rock. Seem to come out the side but in the back of the tank. So I slowly rotated the rock so I could see him. About 3 hours ago I flipped the rock upside down very slowly and he seemed fine. Just looked and he's now on the side of the rock headed back under. What is going on??? I know they love and need light? Why is it doing this? Thanks!!! 4 t5ho bulbs. All corals doing great. Water is fine.

It is just a little scared from the move... He also needs to acclimated to the type/intensity of light you have. One cool thing about Nems is they can do this themselves!
Let him go under the rock - moving him only stresses it out more. Given time, he will come back out.

I found my bubble-tips really didn't want to eat until they came back out from behind the rocks. Once they came back out they stretched out really nice, bubbled up in the light and finally started feeding. One Nem took a few days - another took a few weeks, so it really depends on the individual.

My pink BTA was healthy and eating for months and then went under the rocks and didn't come out for weeks. He finally emerged, bleached. He is still recovering.....not sure what would cause them to hide. Just be careful as to how long they are without light and food.
