Hello guys,
So we have had a Green Carpet Anemone and Clarkii pair for about four months. The pair has been doing great and he has grown 1/3 the size from when we first got them. Well I got a deal on two candy cane frags and used epoxy to glue them into their place.

Not only is our skimmer going crazy *not so bad now* but our anemone is looking like he is under the weather. His mouth/gut isn't out yet and we hope it don't come to that. I fed him this evening and he still is pulling like crazy on the pieces of krill I feed him. Is this normal for him? Do they go through stages like some corals do?

I have changed the carbon since adding the frags/epoxy

Only other thing that has been changed since is a new set of ATI Coral Plus T5 bulbs.

TIA
Chris and Julie

I fed him this evening and he looked to have perked up a little. Usually he is stretched out to about where that snail is just a little above him. About another 2" or so.

I read on here that people feed theres about every third day. That is what we have been doing other then this go around, I fed him Thursday evening.

TIA

I have many carpets and really never fed em routinely .. some times not for weeks .. every now and than maybe maybe once a month .
They do fine without feedings

Just thought I would give a quick update on our friend. He appears to be back to his usual self.

Needless to say that epoxy has been thrown in the trash.

Next time you use epoxy (( and I would take it out of the trash )), just run some carbon and do a water change. Your skimmer going nuts is fairly normal too.

IME, with S. haddonis, once settled (( 6+ months )), they are pretty bullet proof.

Thanks Trex! I'll try next time. My carbon was only about two weeks old. I didn't have any premix ready to go. But I will def. keep that in mind next time.
