green chromis acting odd

We have had seven green chromis for 10 months now, and they have done very well. For the last few days one of the larger fish has been staying near the rock, away from the others. He/she appears interested in food, but appears afraid to leave the rock. He/she appears well, no spots or discoloration, no labored breathing. Tank parameters fine. What could be wrong?

The others could be bullying it. They had not done this before, and it is one of the larger fish.

IME; a school of chromis will usually whittle themselves down to just one i.e. the winner.

You could catch him and give him to somebody else.
