Well established green chomis who has been in our tank for 4 years has been acting odd the last few days. He has been hovering over the side of the tank and hiding in the coral. We added a trigger a few weeks ago. Have not noticed any aggression between them. Should we be doing anything?

The trigger is a blue throat. He is quite small, and seems docile. other members of the tank are four other green chromis, a foxface (the largest fish in the tank), and a kole tang. The blue throat, the newest fish, was went through tank transfer method and prazipro followed by 6 weeks in observation. The green chromis that is acting odd is not eating, never a good sign. Should I put him in QT?

Agree Chromis should be relocated to observation tank ... what would be end game? ... eventual return to DT ... or find another home? Others thoughts???

The other chromis would be my guess too. I'd say pull this one out, and watch the other three.

What's the tank size, for curiosity's sake?

You've had it for 4 years. How long do chromis live?

Our tank is 300 gal. I put fish on ot- doing the same odd behavior. Hovering with its head toward the top against the glass.

Any ideas regarding this behavior?? Hasn’t changed w move to observation tank? Still hasn’t eaten ... really concerned that days are numbered if we don’t get the chromis to eat ... really need some help!
