We had seven green chromis for about two years. 300 gal sps. We put a foxface in a few months ago. (Foxface was in observation for 6wks prior) All of the fish appear happy and healthy. About a month ago one of the chromis disappeared. Just today another did. Not sure what is going on. Foxface gets nori in the am. We feed a cube of frozen brine or Mysis most nights. They get a cube of cyclops one night and pellets another. The foxface eats some of the brine and mysis but not the other. Not sure what I am doing wrong. No big changes in chemistry.

they might be hiding- i had 4 and 2 were missing for the longest but they were just being bullied by the other 2- when they are really hungry they will come out

Chromis tend to bully each other and pick each other off one by one in some cases.

Any red marks or open sores on their sides near the tail before disappearance?

If so, uronema is the chromis killer!

After 2yrs, I wouldn't worry about Urenoma.

If 2 of the chromis are about to start spawning, then their aggression toward conspecifics increases and can explain the disappearances.

We found the most recent missing chromis in the overfill. He seems to have weathered the ordeal fairly well and is back with his school.
