I’ve had 2 Green Chromis in my tank for 2 months now, and they’ve gotten along just fine. They’re with 2 Clowns, 1 Lawn Mower Blenny, and 1 Diamond Goby. Over this weekend, they started fighting with each other, and now they’re nipping at my other fish. I’ve read on some of the threads about these not cooperating. Should I try to separate them? Or give it a few more days? I don’t want my other fish getting too stressed. I originally called them Chip & Dale, but now they should be called Meanie 1 and Meanie 2. I have other choice names for them, but I’m keeping my post nice. Thoughts?

hi ,if can remove ,do so,if you can get them sleeping w a flashlight is best chance :)

Green chromis have been known at times to absolute go KILLER on their own groups... They can be tough fish to get in a system but once an established group of them resides they can be a nice little schooling group to a reef tank..

Most likely though if they arent seperated one will kill the other..

Thanks! I’ll give it a try. I used my red lights on them last night, and I almost caught them. They figured out what I was doing and headed for the rocks. I’m trying not to stress my other fish while trying to catch these meanies.

Thanks! I’m going to give it another shot today.

It tends to be only a matter of time for them, before they turn on each other. I tried twice, and they would always kill each other off after some time until there was one left.

Now I stick to anthiases for schooling, I find them to be prettier anyway :)
