Green clown goby ?

My green clown goby 3 days old vanished. I literally havent seen him after i got it from the first day. Looked with a flashlight through my whole rock structure, sump, overflow box from the bottom as much i can. Completely gone. Tried to feed. But i just dont see it.. im devastated. I have a good lid on my tank. Do they hide in rocks and dig in sand or smth?

nah but they will perch on side of rock and in corners so they can be hard to spot.

Im just worried that i wont find his corpose and cause an ammonia spike

how big is the tank? these guys are so tiny unless it is in a 5-10 gallon it wouldnt do much

Its a 40 gallons display

only thing you can do is wait for it to come out, a tiny goby will be eaten by scavengers just a few hours after death and wont cause an ammonia spike large enough to effect anything in the tank

had mine for over a year, and that's what they do,hide all the time...only time i see him is when i feed and he sneaks out to grab food in his reach...i do see him sometimes on a monti coral time from time..
