Green coralline??

The back of my tank is getting covered in coralline algae. ( not a complaint lol ) Most of it is the normal pinkish purple circles. I'm thrilled, especially since my tank is still fairly young ( about 10 months) however among the normal coralline are green splotches. They look exactly the same as the pink. I've read there are many colors, but never see them in other tanks. Is it safe? If not, how do I get rid of it?

Following. Most of mine are the pink/purple, but I also have a few green spots. I've wondered if it was coralline or something else.

+1 Back in the days of Fiji live rock I would see a lot of different greens, pinks, purples, reds, and event white coraline.

I've heard of orange in tanks, which would be very pretty to have.

I just spent this past weekend scraping all of that off my 125 gal back glass thinking I had an algae problem!!

Mine turns orange when it's upset or dying - like when I dunk a power head into hot vinegar water.

When you see green on the rocks, what are the potentials algaes that it can be besides coralline? My rocks are starting to get covered but feels like its too early for it to be coralline.

No Worries.
You just seeded your tank when you scraped them. They'll come back in even more numbers. Make sure your alk and cal are good.
125g, that was a lot of scraping.

The surface of coralline is like a hard shell. Algae will be kind of soft and fuzzy.

Doesn't scape off, the trochus snails seems to be going for it, so i dunno.
