My fish was losing color a few days ago. I ate very little.

Yesterday he didn't eat... this morning I saw him swimming sideways and without strength to go a few centimeters beyond the bottom of the aquarium.

With these photos, is it possible to give an opinion about a possible disease? I noticed that on both sides there was this little white ball.

Isn't it ictio?
No other fish loking bad.
Tks

We usually can’t tell much from post mortem photos…

How long did you have this fish?
Did you see any rapid breathing?
What other fish do you have?

Hello Jay. Thanks for trying to help.

1) This fish had been with me for approximately 2 months. It was the last fish... i add with a kupang. My tank have 4 months.

2) Yes. I saw quick breaths but only at the moment when he was dying. Last night he wasn't breathing fast.

3) Ocelaris, Cleaner Wrasse, Hepatus (small), Kupang, and Yellow Watchman. My display is 150cm - 50cm - 60cm.

Other information: The other fish are behaving normally. As for him... he had been living in a devils hand coral for two weeks. It started to become less active around feeding time and lose color 3 days before it died (at least that's what I noticed).

Thanks again.

This species is frequently collected using sodium cyanide, and that can cause latent mortality in fish, but two months is longer than that time takes....most cyanide losses are seen in 14 to 45 days.

Sorry I can't give you any other ideas, just watch the remaining fish closely.

Jay
