This is a first for me, but I've started finding green crunchy algae in my overflow and on a few rocks. Not sure what it is, if it is "good" or "bad," or will some appropriate critter take care of it. It hasn't been a problem so far, but I've never seen its like, and I want to get out in front of it if it is some dread monster.
I'm familiar with the green filamentous algae, but this is small, round and hard. It reminds me of green Sargasso weed if there was such a thing, but it grows on the substrate, it is not free floating.
Tank paramaters are as follows, in case anyone wants to know:
pH: 7.8 to 8.0
salinity: 35ppt
nitrates: 50
alk: 7.8dKH
calc: 470
mg: 1400
