Green film algae or green cyano?

I transferred my 6 year old reef into a new 262 gallon tank with new sand and a ton of new dead dry rock.

Coralline is already beginning to coat the rocks, however I have this green stuff all over sand.

I just stirred my sand so that is why it looks like it is in clumps in some areas. It appears to be on certain areas of rock as well as powerheads,

So what is it?

It also appears to be really attaching to superglue at the base of frags. When I blow it off, it comes off in sheets.

When I blow off the sand, it just clumps and won’t go into the water column.

Here are some additional pictures. This stuff is near impossible to siphon out because it “clumps” and it won’t detach from the sand.

It ends up in balls all over the place and under the sand.

I am about to try Chemiclean but need to be sure it is cyano and not just green algae.

Is it for sure cyano?

If you cannot see filaments, like hair, it is not hair algae.

And updates? I have something very similar. Added a half dose of Chemiclean and 24 hours later it looks to be improving so I’m cautiously optimistic. Wondering if you dosed Chemiclean and the results

1 dose of Chemiclean completely obliterated this stuff.

I followed the directions, let the skimmer overflow, did the water change, no issues with anything!

My nitrates and phosphates are now balanced and the tank looks great!
