Hey Reefers, new to the hobby here. I've heard some mixed reviews on this algae. It can be described as staining my live rock a bright green color. It does not scrape off. Is this something to ride out or should I be trying to eradicate this? Thanks for the insight

Just a normal part of the evolution process as your tank matures and good for feeding the cleaner crew. Make sure you have a diverse cleaner crew and stable parameters. Siphon the sandbed. You can cut lights back to 6 hours with blue and uv only no whites if it bothers you. Some green film algae is good for the ecosystem.

Are you able to blow this stuff away with a turkey baster or similar? Looks like green cyano but which should blow awway- Then green film. Some snails will help with this such as:
Margarita
trochus
cerith
nerite
astrea
ninja star

Pencil urchin
carribean blue leg hermits

Stuff does not blow off , the neon green parts. I have several algae but talking about the neon green parts that do not scrape off or do not blow off

ok - then surface/film algae. Utilize cleaners and you can also reduce white light intensity or turn lights off for 3 days .
Is tank by chance at or near a window ?
