Hi, can anyone help please? I have a Green finger leather, its been in my tank for approx 3 week, it started showing polyps after around 3 days then seemed to shed its skin ( i have been told this is normal) it then cam back to showing polyps again and the day after it looked like it had shrunk and deflated like the fingers on it had melted. After this it came back and was looking like it had grown and also showing the polyps, it looked quite amazing, this was only last night, this morning i checked in on the tank as i do and it looked tiny and all shrivelled. Is this normal behaviour from this coral? forgive me if it is, i am new to the hobby, thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any help.

Yea, its all normal for a soft coral, something may be picking at it though, other than that, they will tend to stay out for a bit then do exactly what you are explaining, sometimes they can do it for weeks at a time if they are unhappy.

ah right, glad it is ok, i have see one of my hermits seems to have taken a liking to it and keeps climbing on it, do you think that could be making it unhappy?

Thanks reefing madness :)

Yea, if you have some hermits walking all over him, that'll tick em off.

Right, these hermits are starting to be a little problem, 1 of them seems to of taken a liking to the leather and is constantly on it and even rests on it, anyone have any ideas on what to do because the little Leather is just not happy at all?
