I had this green gonipora for about a year and it was doing well, suddenly one day i noticed its retraced and stayed like that for a week now. on the side note, i had 2 head green hammer coral (near 7" when expanded) that fell down to sand and i kind a pushed to take care of that while i had plan to stick other corals (regret it now), week later i put the hammer back to its place, but it stayed retraced for 2 days and now its all gone (dead).

70gal RedSea, with 20gal sump
NO3: 5
PO4: 0.04
KH: 9.5
Mg: 1400
Ca: 290 (was surprised when i tested it 10 days ago, RedSea test kit was about to expire in month, so ordered new one and tested again with same result)

Increased the dose of Ca for about a week with 40ml per day using DOS

All other corals are doing fine.

I wonder if any of the following caused goni retraced and hammer dead
- Ca is low
- I switched from B-Ionic 2 part to BRS Alkanity, I only refilled Alkanity solution and left the Calcium from B-Ionic as it is becaz it was half full in the container)
- or hammer dead becaz i did not put it back up in time.

Now thats all done, what can i do to save the goni?

At work right now, but will post the pic when i get home.

Here is the pictures back then and today

Hi sorry to hear about your Goni have you changed anything previously on your tank?

Also if it keeps dying try to frag a piece off to save it.
