Hey guys,

I bought a couple frags from a local reefer. When I first got them they seemed ok. After a couple weeks I noticed this green bush looking stuff growing on the frags themselves. It really is ugly haha! I can pull it off with tweezers but it is really annoying. I dont have any pictures so I was hoping to ID it by just explaining it.

Is there something out there that will eat it?

I was wondering if I should try pulling the corals off the frags and reglueing them down. I am not sure how my utter chaos will like it but im desperate haha.

The best way I can explain it is like a blade of grass. It grows in clumps of stringy blade like clumps.

I can say for sure that it is NOT GHA. It is def a plant of some kind

I am leaning towards bryopsis

It looks like tech M has some success in ridding it by raising mag levels. Any thoughts? I don't think manual removal at this point will work. I pulled my rasta zoa cluster off a frag and realized that the byprosis was encrusting on the little rock the zoas were on so I don't believe my idea of refragging will work.

Phosphate might me coming out of the coral, if the previous tank had higher nutrients. If so, it will go away.
