Green growth

is it normal to get this green stuff growing on my red macro algae? Tank is still somewhat cycling. I am on week 3 of adding gulf live rock. No fish yet. Levels are still good. 0 nitrate, nitrite and ammonia. Ph is roughly 8.

I do have 2 peppermints, 5 emerald crabs and some snails.

So green hair alage? Get rid of it? Or its ok? Thats really the only spot I can see so far. Just snip the red algae to get rid of the green or leave it all be?

Remove and keep an eye out for more. Don't let it get a foothold.

I hear lighting can be part of the problem. I currently have my orbit programmable light set to come on at 7am so 1 hour sunrise full light from 8 am to 5 pm followed by an hour of sunset and 3 hours moonlight. Is this acceptable?

Nice, gulf LR. Im going to say with that rock and 3 weeks time elapsed your tank is fully cycled.

As far as your light cycle is concerned, I'm not the one to give advice. In fact I think I need to change mine since it's probably too short lol. Can you post a full tank shot? That rock probably looks awesome.

It is said that the more white reds and green spectrum the more algae. But we all get it. We have utility fish (tangs blennys etc) or good clean up crews. Just all depends what you can have in what tank

Yes 1st pick is the 1st 60 lbs and 2nd pic is with 30 more added
