I have been running my tank for 6 months now after doing a tank move from
My 65g which was running for 2yrs to now my 120g. I have non stop been battling green hair stringy algae on my rocks as well as now all over my sump and fuge and inside and mixed with my chaeto. I test often for phosphates and nitrates and neither are way high so why no matter how much I clean and pluck this crap, it just keeps creeping back over and over?

If it is growing in your fuge. GREAT! The more that grows in the fuge, The less is going to grow in the tank...IN theory. A few questions to helo is with your problem.
`
-How big is the tank?
-What lights do you have, and what is the cycle?
-What exactly are your water parameters?
- What do you have for a CUC?

It’s growing I feel all in my sump, skimmer and hell even my tubing going to my reactor is turning slight green lol.
It’s a 120g tank running two radion xr-15 gen 4 on coral labs programming 12 hrs a day.

Ph:8.15
Dkh: 9
Nitrate 5
Phosphate 0.006
Nitrite 0
Ammonia 0
Calcium and mag test high all the time.

If it’s all in the sump, let it be. No reason to fight it down their. If you see it outside of the fuge, it’s because you are allowing the light to spill over. Let it grow down their so it stays out of the display. Parameters look good.

The problem is that I’m still getting fuzzy balls of it all over
My rocks. I scrub it suck it out and then it’s back after say 3wks. What am I doing wrong here? I’ve been in reef keeping for 10yrs and have never had green hair algae like this ever. Could it be my light spectrum? That’s the only thing I’ve changed on my system recently.
