Green hair algae or bryopsis

Tank is 6 weeks old and I am getting this algae growing only on one half of the tank. It me it looks more brown than green but it's hard to tell to me. I am attaching a couple of pics for help.

Hard to tell from picture but looks like a mix of hair and bryopsis. Search for pics of bryopsis and you can decide if it is. Then look for the methods of getting rid of it. Usually running high magnesium levels to kill it off.

Any reason it would only grow on one side of the tank?

That is a good crop, but I have more. Do you have a cleaning crew in place? Snail and crabs and check you Po4 and No3. if they are high cut back on feeding. stir up your sand bed when you to a water change and you will export my Poo that way and this will also the with the Po4 and No3's

Ca?
Mg?
Alk?
Po4?
No3?

More light. also what kind of light are you running and how long?

If its bryopsis then your parameters and light do not matter (can flourish in even the cleanest non lit tanks) use Kent tech m to boost your mag and kill off the algae. If it is hair algae then you should look into your husbandry, params/water quality and equipment

My lights is a ATI 6 bulb fixture.
Nitrates has been 2.5 - 5 even before the algae and is still the same
Phosphorus is checked on the Hanna ulr and is generally 0-5 range.
Calcium is 425 salifert
Mag is 1320 salifert
Ph 8.1 salifert
Alk is 8.7 with Hanna checker
I do a 1% water change daily

When I look at the algae it looks more like a feather than a straight line, if that helps at all.
