Green Hair Algae Problem

Alright I know this is a very common problem, I have a big green hair algae problem. Yesterday I installed a refugium and I added another urchin for a total of 2 urchins in the tank currently. I already know of some ways to get rid of GHA but more information is always a good thing to have. I was thinking about running GFO but I am not sure if I should do that since I have the refugium with macroalgae in it. This is a 24-gallon tank, 34 if you include the sump and refugium. Welcome to R2R!!! I am currently battling a large gha algae bloom as well. Have you tested your parameters recently? Most important would be Nitrates and Phosphates? Both of those elements allow gha and macro algae thrive. I am currently dosing red sea nopox to lower my nitrates and phosphates I also have a red tuxedo urchin and they do a great job but they are so slow lol. For livestock options you could do emerald crabs as they eat it and are also nocturnal like the urchin also a lawnmower blenny could work I don't have one but I hear great things I do have to emeralds though. I have seen my nitrates and phosphates come down with the nopox so I added gfo to keep phosphates under control and started dosing vibrant to remove the gha because the nopox didn't kill off the gha bloom just lowered the parameters. I don't run a fuge in my sump but I heard that if you do and use vibrant it can nuke your macro algae. Hope this helps you.
