Green Hair Algae Problem

Here are pictures of my tank. As you can see, there’s a green hair algae problem. I looked it up and there are many options I could do, for example, I can pull it myself or even take out the rock and clean it but that seems a bit difficult for me. I even heard you can do a peroxide dose which should remove it but I’m unsure what to do.

Can you verify your phosphate reading? 3 is crazy high, resulting in unwanted algae. Also, try to take some pics without so much blue. Nice looking acans!

Sorry I meant .3 for those phosphates. And my tank is always pretty blue but I’ll try to remove some of those blues in a pic. I’ll mess with some of my light settings and I’ll post another picture

0.3 phosphates is still considered a bit high. without chasing a specific number, watch your feeding habits, and let it fall naturally below 0.25.

I only have one fish currently so I feed very low amounts. I had 4 but my one clown, sixline wrasse, And blue damsel all disappeared within a week. Makes no sense

Disappeared? Can't find them at all? Probably causing a big spike in ammonia and phosphate..... you need to find them and remove ASAP

I managed to find the clownfish but I think the wrasse and damsel were eaten by my shrimp and crabs. I searched for hours

Yes. About 14 crabs and a ton of snails

Meant to say a refugium with Macroalgae like chaeto.

That could be why. If you have an empty chamber utilize that to make a Fuge. This is the light I used on my 10g innovative marine:

It’s the cobalt cvue 18. I have one chamber with seachem purigen. My light is an ai prime hd. So how do I make a refugium? I have an empty chamber that I suppose I put chaeto in? I think I was looking into it a while ago but I forgot about it

Pretty much. Make space for the algae (chaeto) and attach a light like the one I recommended to you. If the light I showed you is too expensive, you will have to look into other options that I haven’t researched. I advise running a reverse daylight photoperiod (run the Fuge light when the main tank light is off.) Also, to give the chaeto an advantage against the hair algae you can do a tank blackout while running the Fuge light. After this, the algae may be weakened and you can continue to do manual removal.
