Recently I was facing lot of green hair algae, issues and even though I ran GFO it doesnt go.

Here what I did which removed most of the green hair algae.

1 ) Did a 50% water change and cleaned the skimmer
2) Used Dr Tims Waste-Away
3) Turned MP-40 to Nutirent transport mode with 80% power
4) Complete blackout for 3 days and didnt feed the fish

There was no loss of any live stock and this reduced algae significantly

Thought of sharing this as it would be useful for someone who is battling the algae issues.

Tank has been up and running since 6 months or so but recently moved into a new house so after tank transfer had a lot of green algae

When your tank matures a little more and you keep up with removing as much as you can, it should get better.

Get a Tuxedo Urchin. They love GHA. You'll never have GHA problems again.

Thanks, my only concern with them they will move a lot and will make things to fall. Also I heard that they eat coraline alage which is a problem,

Have you tested the water you are putting in lately? I'm wondering if your RO/DI needs new filters and when you moved the tank you replaced the water with some that had more phosphates/nitrates.

well, RODI is good. I think I will put an urchin in the system, thanks all.
