So after about three months of fighting green hair algae and high phosphates, I’m starting to get the upper hand. I started using phosguard and chaeto to lower phosphates from .5 to .25 via Salifert test kit. Nitrates were always undectable via api test kit. The gha also started to turn brown/white. My question now is what do I do with all this dead gha on my rocks. Would it be wise to just wait and let it decompose, scrub it inside the tank and try to scoop out the pieces, or take out every rock and scrub it. My concern is that disturbing the sand in a year old tank could cause a disaster.
