Green hairy splitting or dying?

Is this green hairy splitting or dying? It’s been like this for a week but changes slightly each day.

Awesome my mag and calc are high in this tank 1500 and 550 so I was worried it could be dying. It did fine for around two months at those levels though and then started shrinking about a week ago, and the green parts still wave and extend but it’s not the silver dollar size it used to be.

Should be opposite amount of time from what it took them to split.
