How to get rid of this? Starting to see it one a couple other corals too I think, can I hydrogen peroxide dip? 5CA9F3C0-3174-4800-87A1-379DC87B5C5F.jpeg

That looks like green star polyps. Is that what you’re trying to get rid of? Easiest way is to peel it off

EDIT — My bad. Now I see what the issue is. Sry

I’m on my phone, so I don’t have the best view of the pictures, but from what I see it looks like you might have some Dino’s (or certainly some type of algae developing). What are you nutrients at?

You could first try to use a turkey baster to blast some of it off, being sure to capture/suck up as much as you can. If you do choose to dip with peroxide, make sure you use a pretty diluted/weak mix. In my experience cloves can get pretty beat up by hydrogen peroxide if too strong.

Maybe add a few more memebers to your clean up crew that might help to prune that stuff off your corals.

Could be cyanobacteria. As stated above, blowing it off or siphoning it with a clean turkey baster will remove it for now. Testing for nitrates and phosphates will help assess any other concerns. As well as a full picture of the tank.

Thanks! Used the turkey blaster and blew off a bunch of it ! & nitrates are 7 & phos 0.1

I believe cyano is only red? This is like a green algae layer that blew off pretty easy

I can't tell from the picture but if it blew off easy and the same that's on the sand, you could just try moving the cloves up onto your rocks in an area with more flow maybe.

That GSP will grow over mostly everything in its way.
Had it grow over an entire gorgonian.

GSP has to be on an island which does not connect with anything else.

I have not been successful in removing GSP from rock with other corals, without killing the other, very resilient little pest.

Maybe scrape it off, but may come back

Cloves I treat the same as GSP.

Cyano is also green. A microscope can help identify as well.
