green killing machine bulb upgrade?

So In the process of switching tanks I wanted to swap my 9watt green killing machine for the 24watt can i just buy the replacement bulb for the 24watt and use it with the other components from the 9watt setup? this bulb

Im going to guess no. Reason is: they take a different control box part number and transformer part number. I have no clue if the snap in bulb sections are compatible.
